Most new bloggers refuse to understand how easy it is to do proper SEO for their sites. Trust me, its really this simple !
Heres my simple no frills guide to getting loads of traffic from search engines.
1.Use wordpress. (LOL) 
2.Change the permalinks structure to include the post name.
3.Add sitemap.
3.Use ‘All in one SEO pack’ and ‘Google XML sitemaps’ [plugins]
4.Use proper keywords in the title of the post.
5.Check the slug / permalink structure before publishing a post.
6.Dont forget to tag your posts. Add a tagcloud in the homepage.
7.Ping other sites. I prefer Pingler.
8.Give proper names to images. Rename the file properly and then upload. ( ex. nokia-n97.jpg ) Do fill in the ‘alt’ tags.
9.Most imp : Think. Post about topics which will come up in next few weeks. DONT post stuff that everyone is posting.
10.Ask your friends and visitors for give some digg ( and other social media ) love. Helps in getting your site to google real fast.
